In this lesson, you’ll learn how to make a test cup, which is a great way to quickly assess whether or not you have the cup volume you need. A test cup takes minutes to assemble and fit on your breasts, and can be done for any underwired bra pattern.
Remember:
- Test your cup fit on your larger breast. (I talk about solutions for fitting different sides.)
- Make the test cup from a stable bra cup fabric. I don’t recommend wovens.
- Don’t worry about getting an ideal fit. You are only trying to find a good cup volume so you can choose a starting size. The fit and shape of a cup changes slightly once it is sewn into a bra and being stabilized by the band.
